Arrow may have Superman Returns star Brandon Routh on its roster, and The Flash may have looked to original Flash TV icon John Wesley Shipp for some fan-pleasing stunt-casting, but CBS’ Supergirl TV show has gone one better.
According to TVLine, not only has original 1984 Supergirl movie star Helen Slater joined the pilot line-up as an unknown character, but so has Dean Cain, who played Clark Kent/Superman on the much-loved Lois & Clark: The New Adventures Of Superman from 1993 to 1997.
Both previously guested on the long-running Smallville, Slater in the role of Clark/Kal-El’s Krypton mom Lara, and Cain as the immortal Dr. Curtis Knox.
