Arrow and The Flash executive producer Greg Berlanti has confirmed that Michael Green’s recently rumoured pitch for a Supergirl TV series is indeed at development.

The only difference is that it’s Berlanti putting the show together with No Ordinary Family creator Ali Adler, and Green isn’t involved at all.

Adler has also written episodes of Chuck, Glee and Family Guy, among others.

“We’re just starting to work on it,” Berlanti confirmed to Comic Book Resources.

“We haven’t gone to the networks yet, so I’ll be happy, very excited to talk about it once we know where its home will be and that kind of stuff, but not at this moment.”

Deadline adds that the show “will be a new interpretation of the Supergirl character and her story,” and Warner Bros TV/Berlanti Productions are toying with the names Super or Girl – both of which are pretty silly.

DC’s chief creative officer Geoff Johns is also expected to have role.
