With Han Solo, Boba Fett, Yoda and Obi-Wan Kenobi already the subject for Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens spin-off rumours, you’d be forgiven for having written off any other potential movies.

AJ Edwards, director of young Abraham Lincoln movie The Better Angels, let slip in a Reddit AMA that he’s in talks to take on a Star Wars standalone movie – and he revealed the character too.

Obviously we’re not entirely discounting the fact he may be winding people up, but some fans have pointed out that you don’t actually see Mace Windu die, just lose his arm, get a face-full of Force Lightening and drop out of a window.
