Sleepy Hollow‘s uncertain future has been made certain as Season Three has been confirmed.

VAGUE SLEEPY HOLLOW SEASON 2 SPOILERS BELOW! DON’T READ THE SEASON THREE SYNOPSIS IF YOU WANT TO AVOID THEM!

TVLine reports that the Fox show has been given another chance following a disappointing second season (both with the ratings and fan response), and that a new showrunner has been chosen.

The Glades and White Collar‘s Clifton Campbell is taking over from Mark Goffman for the 18 episode third season.

SPOILERS…NOW.

The vague plot synopsis for Season Three is that it will “explore the evolving partnership between Crane and Mills after the pair scored a decisive victory over evil in the Season 2 finale.”

SPOILERS END.

We’re glad to hear this. Even though Season 2 didn’t match the most excellent highs of the first season, it would be a huge shame if it didn’t get the chance to replicate its success, and we definitely weren’t ready to say goodbye to Abbie Mills and Ichabod Crane.

Sleepy Hollow Season 2 returns to the UK on 26 March on Universal Channel. Read more about Sleepy Hollow with the latest issue of SciFiNow.
