SDCC: Eureka renewed for fourth season

by James Rundle

Eureka brought back for more quirky hijinks.

a-town-called-eureka-cast-gallery-7Now that Comic-Con is over, we’re playing catch up with all of the news that’s filtered out of the show. Expect a raft of posts this morning.

A Town Called Eureka, currently airing the second half of its third season on Syfy, has been renewed for a fourth season by the network in a dramatic fashion.

While hosting the panel for the show at San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend, senior vice president of Syfy Mark Stern placed a call to series star Colin Ferguson, who is currently filming Lake Placid 3 in Bulgaria, to tell him live on stage that the show would be returning for a fourth season. Eureka is currently Syfy’s most-watched show despite a lengthy hiatus, and was not widely tipped for a return until the audience figures proved as strong as ever when it began to air its remaining episodes.

The series stars Colin Ferguson, Salli Richardson-Whitfield, Erica Cerra and Joe Morton.
