American Horror Story creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk are putting together their horror comedy TV show Scream Queens and has landed two impressive leading ladies.
THR reports that the series will be led by Murphy’s AHS star Emma Roberts (who was also excellent in the underrated Scream 4), and the great Jamie Lee Curtis (we don’t need to remind you of Halloween, The Fog or Prom Night).
It looks as though Scream Queens will follow AHS‘ anthology pattern, but character details for the first season are currently being kept under wraps.
“The 15-episode hourlong comedy will premiere in fall 2015, with season one set on a college campus that’s rocked by a series of murders. New settings and storylines will be featured in subsequent seasons of the anthology series.”
You would be forgiven for thinking that Murphy and Falchuk would be a bit busy, horror-wise, with American Horror Story committed to a fifth season despite Jessica Lange’s assertion that Freak Show is her last season, but you would be wrong.
Fingers crossed Scream Queens finds the writing duo on form as we love this cast, and it’s high time Curtis found her way back to horror.
American Horror Story: Freak Show is currently airing on Sky Atlantic on Tuesday nights at 10pm. Keep up with the latest horror news with the new issue of SciFiNow.
