Scott Derrickson signs on for The Living

From The Day The Earth Stood Still to something a little more sinister.

PHCHgDHJVfw4GEScott Derrickson, director of The Day The Earth Stood, has signed on to direct a supernatural thriller called The Living. The project will be developed by Lakeshore Entertainment and will be produced by the company’s own Tom Rosenberg, Gary Lucchesi and Paul Harris Boardman. At this time plot details are under wraps, but story source Variety does state that the idea came from both Derrickson and Boardman.

Derrickson previously had success working with Lakeshore with 2005’s The Exorcism Of Emily Rose. This title was also devised and co-written by Derrickson and Boardman and went on to gross $145 million dollars at the worldwide box office.

At this time The Living has no release date attached to it. We will bring you more news on this title in the near future.
