I love your magazine! I’ve been trying to get all your back issues! I have all except issues 1,2,3 & 5 They are any scifi/fantasy/horror nerds dream! I love anything scifi whether it be Back to the Future,star wars,star trek,jurassic park,LOTR. The
Obvious ones! But I love how your mag covers all areas whether it be books,toys,collectibles cult TV shows that we watch religiously, & the retro movies that started our obsession!” The Year Was” section is GREAT!!! As is Nitpickers guide Overlooked,Complete Guide, Modern Classic! ALL ARE ACE! I Do wish there was more of Retro Classic though I love looking back on old scifi & seeing how it has progressed! Anyways keep up the great work your all doing! You’re keeping me very happy! :-D :-D :-D

Only one complaint not enough on books I love to read,the main reason I buy any science fiction/fantasy orientated magazine is to find new books. Not a major complaint I have found new authors to read from you magazine ,I would just like more. For instance you could focus on epic fantasy series and on the world building that they contain. I do love reading your magazine just in your survey you did’nt have the option to express my desire for more books.

The only thing I sometimes find annoying are the reviews… I think sometimes you can be a bit harsh with the scores, and maybe loosen them up a wee bit… Apart from that, love the previews, the spoilers and the retro section, and the books! More anime coverage and comics coverage would be good though, and when are we getting the next 12 issues on a disc? The first ones been out for ages!

One thing I really like about you, is the fact you stand up to your darlings. Like Supernatural: It isn’t “good”, but it’s amazing! And you seem to love Joss Whedon as much as I do and I loved the Mary Shelley article – bringing it up, that a woman did the first Sci-fi story (what’s with Thomas Morus’ Utopia? Ah, never mind) really made me feel good – in sci-fi boys and girls just are more equal than anywhere else… ok, the point still stands, I liked the way you look at it and love the way you always tell where to find the good stuff. But more about the history of sci-fi and a bit more about the books would be nice. (If you need someone to write about Morus’ Utopia – call me!:-))

Yup, keep up the good work.

One thing though, get passionate knowledgeable people to write on your retro reviews. The Voyager feature seemed to be a way to fill up the pages rather than offer an insight on the series.

Where was the famous infighting that happened on the show? Why no comments on the series’ fx? Yeah and why comments on the pictures like ‘did you know that sevens real name is Anika Hansen?’ Really! you dont say, I didn’t know that. Instead, you could have offered some real trivia that few people would know: Jeri Ryan was born Jeri Lynn Zimmermann.

And what was with the cover comment of ‘is this the best Star Trek ever?’. Even if you think that, there was no effort to justify the comment. I want more review in my retro features….how about a review of various seasons of Star Trek.

Even a review of the old Star Wars films would be fun. I remember SciFi Universe did a 50 reasons why Jedi sucks feature. It caused much controversy and did provide 50 reasons why Jedi sucked. What I’d like to see is a well reasoned review for why the latest Star Wars features failed so badly and why the additional fx added to the old films was inappropriate. Also why the new fx worked so well on ST:TOS.

I do like the mag though!
