Star Trek was my main inspiration for becoming a science fiction author, but Dr. Who was a very close second. I’m thrilled that the series has come back.
‘the satan pit’…the doctor questioning his own arrogantly unsubstantiated beliefs, like he questions those of others…and the idea of the doctor vs satan…i mean…come on…
or the predicta-conversation in ‘blink’, including the ‘i’m reading you watching me’ head-boggler…
…and not ‘this is pest control’…that was bollocks.
I’ve always been a Liz Sladen fan and I’ve got to go with the first time that Sarah-Jane meets the Tenth Doctor in School Reunion. The smile that spreads across his face as he realises that her life eventually moved on without him. Then there’s the scene where she finds the TARDIS and relaises that Mr John Smith is in fact the Doctor. The whole conversation between the two of them fantastic.
