NBC’s four-part remake of Rosemary’s Baby has cast Star Trek and Guardians Of The Galaxy star Zoe Saldana in the Mia Farrow role, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Based on Ira Levin’s 1967 novel – adapted by Roman Polanski the following year – Saldana will play Rosemary, a wife who moves into a forboding apartment block and becomes steadily more suspicious of her neighbours and husband, and worried for the future of her unborn child.

“Zoe has proven that she is one of our most gifted actresses, and we think she has the perfect combination of spirit and gravitas to take on the title role from Ira Levin’s infamous novel,” said Quinn Taylor, Executive VP of movies, miniseries and international co-productions at NBC Entertainment.

“With Zoe leading the cast under the direction of Agnieszka Holland, this reimagined event miniseries is off to a great start.”
