Robert Kirkman’s Outcast TV show casts House Of Cards star

Stars of House Of Cards and Boardwalk Empire join The Walking Dead creator’s Outcast

outcastRobert Kirkman’s new TV show Outcast continues to cast up, as Deadline reports that four new actors have joined the exorcism drama based on the comic by Kirkman and Paul Azaceta.

Reg E. Cathey (House Of Cards, The Fantastic Four), Wrenn Schmidt (Boardwalk Empire, Preservation), Kip Pardue (Ray Donovan, Rules Of Attraction) and newcomer Julia Crockett have signed on for the new show from the creator of The Walking Dead.

They join Patrick Fugit and Philip Glenister in the show about “Kyle Barnes (Fugit), a young man who has been plagued by possession since he was a child. Now an adult, he embarks on a journey to find answers, but what he uncovers could mean the end of life on Earth as we know it.”

Cathey will play the town’s chief of police and a poker buddy of Anderson (Glenister) who realises that there is some truth to the claims about demons, while Schmidt will play Kyle’s adopted sister Megan, a child psychologist who worries a lot about her brother. Pardue will play a hot-tempered cop who’s married to Megan, while Crockett will play Kyle’s mother who made his life hell.
