Southland Tales was amazing it is an allegory as well as a political sci-fi romp through post modern L.A.. The soundtrack lends heavily to the atmosphere of confusion as you watch the last half of a story ( first half of which is a graphic novel). The Box was more organized then southland tales and felt alot more like a horror film but was equally awesome. I have very high hopes for this director and I find his work fascinating.

Love Donnie Darko (the original cut) and am still yet to see Southland Tales, but I don't hear great things about it.

The Box's trailer shows oodles of promise though, so here's hoping!

This could be brilliant... let's hope it doesn't go the same way as Southland Tales and S. Darko, but that it can be a surreal brilliance like Donnie Darko was.
