Resident Evil 6: The Final Chapter could be last film

Resident Evil 6 is called The Final Chapter, Paul WS Anderson says he means it

MillaPaul WS Anderson’s Resident Evil 6 has got a working title: The Final Chapter.

Collider spoke to the writer-director about the latest instalment in his long-running series, which has seen Milla Jovovich’s Alice kick zombie ass all over the world, and they learned that this could be the last movie in the franchise.

““Resident Evil: The Final Chapter is the working title. It may end up being the final title, but that’s what’s written on the front page of my script… I’m right in the middle of [the first draft]…“That’s what’s on the title page, it’s Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, so absolutely.”

The Resident Evil movie series began back in 2002, and the fifth instalment, Resident Evil: Retribution, was released in 2012. Anderson has been busy with historical disaster movie Pompeii, so Resident Evil: The Final Chapter is still a little way off. “There are no set dates for shooting yet. I think we’re waiting until we have a first draft screenplay and then go from there… I don’t know [when it will be in cinemas], depends how fast I write, I guess. There’s no set date yet, but hopefully we’ll have an announcement for that soon.”
