Charlie And The Chocolate Factory and Finding Neverland star Freddie Highmore has been cast as the younger Norman Bates in Lost executive producer Carlton Cuse’s Psycho TV prequel, Bates Motel.
Cuse previously describe the character as, “not what fans expect,” and that he “isn’t looking for someone to imitate Perkins, as this series will offer an original, multi-layered take on Hitchcock’s classic.”
Also cast is mother herself, Norma Louise Bates, who will be played by Vera Farmiga from The Departed.
