Primeval to roar on the big screen

In what has reportedly been a six-figure deal, Warner Bros. has bought up the screen rights to ITV’s Primeval. According to Variety, this adaptation will be presided over by Akiva Goldsman and Kerry Foster, and will be distributed through Goldsman’s affiliate Weed Road Pictures.

Primeval is currently in its third season in the UK and has been screened in the US via the BBC America service, and the Sci Fi Channel.

No production date has been set for this yet.

      Doesn’t sound like a lot of money, to be honest. I’d have thought ITV would have held out for more dosh. After all, it’s one of their prime time shows, or did someone else own the rights to the show?
