Bloomsbury has announced that it will be reissuing all seven Harry Potter books with new livery. The jackets, illustrated by Clare Melinsky and designed by Webb & Webb Design Limited, will be published exclusively on paperback on 1 November.
The Potter books have seen a wide range of design in their jackets since the initial release, from the gaudy illustrations that they’ve become known for to the more adult, ‘It’s-not-a-kids-book-honest’ redesigns that came around during the release of Half-Blood Prince and Deathly Hallows. We’ve included a selection of our favourites below, and of course, the brand new jackets courtesy of Bloomsbury.

Not too convinced about the redesigns yet, though I can see what they are trying to do. Personally I wasn’t a big fan of the adult covers, prefering the original books designs. Still, for the small majority of people yet to read Harry Potter, go for either the original designs or the new ones. Happy reading :)
They kind of remind me of the Narnia series book covers. I do like them. I wasn’t a fan of the adult book covers either. Really miss Harry Potter though, I hope JK Rowling is writing something new. :-)
