The long-mooted Warcraft movie has finally found a director in Moon and Source Code‘s Duncan Jones. Sam Raimi was briefly involved in the videogame adaptation, but bowed out to work on Oz: The Great And Powerful.
Jones tweeted, “So the gauntlet was thrown down ages ago: Can you make a proper MOVIE of a video game. I’ve always said its possible. Got to DO it now!”
Produced by Legendary Pictures from a script by Blood Diamond‘s Charles Leavitt, the movie has a cautious 2015 release date.
