It would appear as though Seg-El isn’t as invincible as we all believed: Syfy’s Superman prequel series Krypton has been cancelled after just two seasons.
The network has cited low viewership as the reasoning behind the cancellation, after the Season 2 finale clocked in with only 350,000 same-day viewers.
Krypton‘s official Twitter account posted the following tweet to say thanks to its followers:
This season of #Krypton has taken us all across the multiverse. Thanks for joining us every step of the way! pic.twitter.com/RNO1GntfxE

Krypton got off to a strong start when it premiered in the spring of 2018, but the viewing figures have dwindled dramatically. The cancellation doesn’t really come as a shock, to be honest. How many times have you heard anyone talk about the show?
Krypton stars Cameron Cuffe as Seg-El, Colin Salmon as General Zod, Georgina Campbell as Lyta-Zod. Shaun Sipos as Adam Strange, Elliot Cowan as Daron-Vex, Ann Ogbomo as Jayna-Zod, Aaron Pierre as Dev-Em, Rasmus Hardiker as Kem, Wallis Day as Nyssa-Vex, Blake Ritson as Brainiac, Ian McElhinney as Val-El and Hannah Waddingham as Jax-Ur. The series was developed by David S Goyer.
