Following yesterday’s news that Kong: Skull Island had a brand new title and a slightly different release date, we’ve now got some casting news for Legendary’s monster movie.
Deadline reports that veteran scene-stealer JK Simmons, who’s currently enjoying “performance of a lifetime” kind of reviews for his role in the much-buzzed Whiplash, has been cast alongside Tom Hiddleston.
It’s not clear who the erstwhile J Jonah Jameson will be playing at the moment, and he’s currently only the second cast member announced for the film from Jordan Vogt-Roberts (Kings Of Summer). Simmons also has a role in Terminator: Genysis on the way.
Kong: Skull Island is released in cinemas 10 March 2017. Read more about classic movie monsters with the 100th issue of SciFiNow, on sale now.
