Hot on the heels of the announcement that Jude Law is in talks to play the villain in Guy Ritchie’s Knights Of The Roundtable, King Arthur’s mentor looks close to being cast.
Variety reports that Djimon Hounsou is in talks to play a Merlin-like role. The star of Guardians Of The Galaxy and Constantine is being lined up to take over the role of Bediviere, which Idris Elba was previously linked to. He’s described as “a Merlin-esque figure who trains and mentors Arthur.”
If he signs on, he’ll join Charlie Hunnam as Arthur and Àstrid Bergès-Frisbey as Guinevere.
