According to Hitflix, who apparently heard it from an insider – whatever that really means – Joseph Gordon-Levitt is in talks to appear in Warner Bros’ long mooted Justice League movie as Batman,

He’ll be joined by at least one other cast member from the Christopher Nolan Batman trilogy – perhaps Gary Oldman’s Jim Gordon or maybe even Cillian Murphy’s Scarecrow, so he could be duffed over in the intro to introduce Batman.

The site reckons that Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s Dark Knight Detective could show up as early as a closing scene in Zack Snyder’s Man Of Steel.

Obviously we’re big fans of this idea as it ties in perfectly with our theory that this is absolutely the best thing for the series.

UPDATE: The No Fun Squad over at Hollywood.com checked this out with his little people, and it was resoundingly debunked. He could be lying though, or maybe he hasn’t officially been approached yet…

The Dark Knight Rises is released on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital Download from 3 December 2012. Pre-order it now on Blu-ray for £14.99 and DVD for £9.99 from Amazon.co.uk.
