According to Deadline, JJ Abrams and Bryan Burk’s production company Bad Robot – responsible for the likes Fringe, Lost and Alias, as well as Super 8 and Star Trek Into Darkness – are negotiating for the rights to Stephen King’s 2011 time-travel thriller, 11/22/63, with a view to adapting it for a TV series or miniseries.
Produced through Bad Robot’s ongoing deal with Warner Bros TV, 11/22/63 follows a divorced English teacher who stumbles upon a time portal that leads to 9 September 1958 and goes on a quest to try and prevent the eventual assassination of president John F Kennedy.
