The trade paper has quoted Paramount vice chairman Rob Moore as stating: “[This] is a testament to the talented, hardworking group involved with this picture. Needless to say, we are all thrilled with such an amazing achievement.” Iron Man dazzled critics and audiences alike on its opening, and has taken around $550 million worldwide for Paramount and the fledgling Marvel Studios. News on a sequel has been widely reported recently, however, concrete information about directors and a release date has been hard to come by. Robert Downey Junior, however, is widely expected to reprise his role as billionaire industry magnate Tony Stark.
