Naomi Watts has signed on to star in Insurgent, the sequel to Divergent, and Allegiant 1 and 2.
THR reports that Watts will play Evelyn, “the leader of the Factionless.” She’ll join fellow new arrival Octavia Spencer (Snowpiercer, Fruitvale Station) as well as Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Jai Courtney, Miles Teller, Ansel Elgort, Zoe Kravitz and Kate Winslet.
“Beatrice Prior must confront her inner demons and continue her fight against a powerful alliance which threatens to tear her society apart.”
