Indiana Jones reboot wants the obvious young Indiana Jones

Paramount’s choice for a young Indiana Jones will surprise no one

Paramount are said to be in the very early stages of putting together an Indiana Jones revival (which has much nicer connotations than ‘reboot’ or ‘reimagining’) and they’re looking at exactly who you would think they would to star.

Deadline reports that Chris Pratt is being targeted by the studio to pick up the fedora and whip. If you saw Guardians Of The Galaxy, you can see why that makes a lot of sense. Hell, he even references the Ark of the Covenant in it…

The problem may well be that Pratt is a very busy man. He’s got the Guardians sequel, if Jurassic World is a big hit he could be committed to that franchise, and let’s not forget about the in-development Cowboy Ninja Viking (which he is perfect for). Oh, and he’s in The Magnificent Seven.

Deadline is very careful to state that everything is in very early stages and it’s still just a rumour, but hey, it makes a lot of sense if Harrison Ford decides that he doesn’t want to make another one. We’re assuming Shia LaBeouf wasn’t contacted…
