A show like this is probably expensive to make so a big 3 network will demand bland, predictable scripts from it's writers to avoid alienating(no pun intended) viewers. It all felt a bit Independence Day with the spaceships flying above the city (which is no bad thing) and the acting seemed fine. I hated how it ended on that woman's face smiling down from the ship. For me I can't wait, but is it worth checking out the original series before I start on this one? PS - On a completely different topic, who is liking Legend Of The Seeker? It started off cheesy but it has become highly entertaining and enjoyable (I fancy the pants off Kahlan)!
