Highlander revamp to star Kevin McKidd?

by Alasdair Morton

Sources say that the Journeyman-ing Kevin McKidd, who saw his time travel sci-fi drama sink last season with US audiences, has been approached to head up a remake of Highlander

kevin-mckidd-journeyman.jpgSources say that the Journeyman-ing Kevin McKidd, who saw his time travel sci-fi drama sink last season with US audiences, has been approached to head up a remake of Highlander. Speaking to a Dublin radio station, the Scottish actor reportedly has revealed that he is in line to take the lead in an update of the classic warring immortals movie.

While nothing is confirmed, or even halfway definite for that matter, we could see this one happening. And it would make a change to actually have a Scotsman playing the titular Scottish character rather than a Frenchman with a limited grasp of English, as Christopher Lambert was in Russell Mulcahy’s 1986 original.
