HBO’s Westworld TV series is filming again, new casting announced

Bone Tomahawk star joins Westworld as it restarts production

It was reported a few months ago that HBO had put their much-hyped Westworld series on hold while it sorted out the final few episodes. Now, production has resumed and a new piece of casting has been announced.

Deadline reports that Bone Tomahawk, Banshee and True Detective star Lili Simmons has joined the ludicrously starry cast. She’ll be playing “Abigail, who works in the park and uses her good looks and charm to lure Westworld guests into the saloon.”

The JJ Abrams-produced series is written by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, and stars Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Evan Rachel Wood, James Marsden, Jeffrey Wright, Thandie Newton, Rodrigo Santoro, Sidse Babett Knudsen, Ben Barnes, Jimmi Simpson, Tessa Thompson, Ingrid Bolsø Berdal, and Clifton Collins Jr.

It’s based on the Michael Crichton classic, and it’s described as “a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the future of sin.” We absolutely cannot wait.
