Making over $132 million (£87 million approx) in its opening weekend – despite our less than impressed review – Paramount are already lining up a sequel to GI Joe: Retaliation, according to Variety.
Despite being delayed for 9 months for reshoots and 3D conversion, Retaliation cost less than the first film, 2009’s GI Joe: The Rose Of Cobra at $130 million (£86 million approx) versus $175 million (£115 million approx), and made 35% more.
GI Joe: Retaliation is in cinemas now. Pick up the first film, GI Joe: The Rise Of Cobra on DVD for £4.16 or on Blu-ray for £7.75 from Amazon.co.uk.
