Fresh from seeing the universe-altering X-Men: Days Of Future Past, Crank writer/director duo Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor turned on their own entry to Marvel superhero lore, 2011’s Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance.
“[Producer Matthew] Vaughn[‘s] X-Men change[d] the future to eradicate [the Brett] Ratner universe,” they joked on twitter.
“Could they eradicate all Ghost Rider universes while they’re at it?”
The Ghost Rider rights went back to Marvel Studios in 2013, so if a third film does come, more than likely it’ll be a total reboot – especially as Nicolas Cage is now done with the role entirely.
Pick up Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance on DVD for £5 or Blu-ray for £8 from Amazon.co.uk. Find out more about the comics that inspired the films with new digital magazine Uncanny Comics.
