Speaking to TV Guide about the Fringe Season 5 finale – and indeed, finale for the entire show – John Noble, who plays fan favourite recovering mad scientist Walter Bishop, was full of praise for the final episode, which is due to air simultaneously in the UK and US.
“It’s so rewarding to see Walter come this far and to finish things so beautifully,” said Noble. “I couldn’t have imagined it would be so good.”
Noble went on to say that the showrunner Joel Wyman has “drawn together elements” from each of Fringe‘s five seasons for the finale.
“What Joel has done is remarkable. He’s… giving closure to our principal characters with some beautiful moments. It’s a masterly effort.”
The final episode of Fringe will air 18 January 2013 in the US, and will be simultaneously broadcast on Sky1 in the UK at 1.10am on 19 January 2013.
