I didn’t think it was that bad. I had bigger problems with the kid Anakin being such a super-star natural, budding mega-Jedi or not. The silly part was falling so far behind, catching up so swiftly then struggling to get in front – didn’t make sense. But I’ve seen much worse.

I was surprised that the very sappy ending of the original didn’t get a mention – it made me cringe when I saw it at the cinema and it still does.

No way on the pod race, that was maybe the best part of the terrible movie. The ewoks were much more chessy than this. And Jar Jar was the worst of the worst worst. I don’t know how anyone thought that was a good idea. Man, talk about suck. Too many yes men around lucus to say, hey that is a stupid idea george. how about lets stay with the two robots for comedy relief. It seemed to work out for the first 3 excellent movies. but NOOOO, lets change the formula and screw it all up with C3P0 never really having anything to do at all in the new ones. that screw up should be #2 for SURE.!!

How wude! yep I agree, give it a rest, also the actor who played Jar Jar Binks got more fan mail than any other Star Wars actor in the history of the series, folks who don’t like the Jar Jar character are in the minority on a worldwide basis. As a grandparent of three Ive made sure they know who General Binks is, he wil live on after the rest are fading memories :D

Hey guys, I can’t believe you have got the Podrace in there. After all what about Chewie doing a Tarzan call, or the Ewoks, or the original special edition playdoh Jabba, or Luke’s pathetic ‘I care’ line? Plus, if we are talking about the whole franchise then I’d also argue for inclusion of the Lucas merchandising rape of the fans with travesties of plastic moulding such as the 1979/80 Palitoy ‘just off camera’ range of vehicles like ‘The Dominator’ (I think it was called). Or what about the awful Masters of Tera Kasi game? Nah… There’s much worse than the Podrace guys. I could go on all day!

Jar Jar Binks – he’s so bad he’s not even so-bad-he’s-almost-funny-bad.

Naboo Love Scene – I still thought it was OK. Loved the music theme to this anyway.

1978 Holiday Special – Never seen it but from what I’ve heard I really don’t want to…

The Younglings – Totally agree with you.

Pod Race – I have to say that you’re a little harsh. While Phantom Menace is indeed no Episode IV, this was by far the best sequence in the movie. I remember going to see it at the cinema and LOVING this. OK, I was 19, but watching it again recently I still do.

Do you reckon we will ever see a new trilogy? Maybe Episodes VII, VII and IX? And are they still doing the live action TV series? Loving The Clone Wars by the way!
