First look: [Rec] 2 trailer

Rope Of Silicon is running this new international trailer for upcoming Spanish shocker, [REC] 2. Following on from the events that transpired in its predecessor – TV reporter and cameraman get stuck in a zombie infested tower block – this promo shows off some suitably frenetic action.

Jaume Balagueró and Paco Plaza have returned to helm this installment in the burgeoning franchise. Plot wise, reports indicate that this sequel will once again be set in the city of Barcelona, and will expand on the ravaging virus that tore through the original [Rec].

[Rec] 2 began shooting 10 November 2008 and was completed in December of the same year. It’s scheduled for a 10 October 2009 release date.
