Farscape got a better deal than most cancelled shows, with many of the major plot threads from its fourth season tied up in the blockbuster Peacekeeper Wars miniseries, but nonetheless there’s plenty of territory left undeveloped, as Aeryn (Claudia Black) and John (Ben Browder) were left literally holding the baby.

Co-creator and master of muppets Brian Henson has been teasing webisodes for a decade now, but writer/producer Justin Monjo recently revealed to if.com.au that he’s working on a script for a Farscape movie that will finally answer all those questions and give ‘Scapers the resolution they crave.

Monjo revealed that the narrative not only takes real time into account, but goes an extra decade or so too, and the site reports that “In the movie, it’s revealed the boy had special powers which made him the target of the villainous aliens so his parents hide him on Earth.

“The plot follows the kid at the age of 19 when his whereabouts have been discovered and he rejoins his parents on their spaceship.”

Tor.com has added that this movie will follow directly from Keith RA DeCandido’s tie-in comics, which took the new parents in a Lone Wolf And Cub-style direction as different powers battled for control of their newborn, including leather clad psychopath Scorpius.
