Last week Dredd 3D writer/producer Alex Garland revealed that his original plans for the movie involved Dredd’s iconic supernatural foe, Judge Death, a wraith from an alternate universe where all life is a crime, and that this could see the light of day in a sequel.

Speaking at Glasgow Comic Con, Judge Dredd co-creator John Wagner confirmed the rumours, adding that not only will see Death, but his Four Horsemen-like allies Fear, Fire and Mortis…

“I hope as well,” mused Wagner, “that if the film does well enough, there will be a second film. Which should feature Judge Death and visually that will be terrific.

“They did actually do an original script which featured Judge Death, but the producers at Fox decided it wasn’t nuts and bolts enough. So that was abandoned and a new story written, but should the first film work well enough then I think in the second one we’re going to have the four Dark Judges. And I look forward to that.”
