According to the next issue of the Doctor Who Magazine – via Blogter Who – 10th Doctor David Tennant, Rose Tyler star Billie Piper and Alien veteran John Hurt have confirmed for the special 90-minute 3D 50th anniversary episode of Doctor Who, which will see a limited cinema release in November.

If Tennant is the only old Doctor appearing, perhaps this isn’t the Doctor and Rose, but the alternate universe double and Rose, which is where we left the character prior to ‘The End Of Time’ two-parter. It’s be a cheeky slight of hand, but would help facilitate an explanation as to why more classic Doctors won’t be putting in a¬†appearance.

Doctor Who returns with “The Bells Of Saint John” on 30 March 2013. You can read our spoiler-free preview of the episode¬†here.¬†Doctor Who¬†Series 7 Part 2 will be available to own 20 May 2013 – pre-order it on¬†Blu-ray for ¬£21.50¬†or on¬†DVD for ¬£17.75¬†from Amazon.co.uk.
