Fresh off the back of the news that Hannibal‘s own cannibal dreamboat Mads Mikkelsen will be making an appearance in Star Wars: Rogue One, it seems he can’t get enough of massive franchises now that Hannibal is almost over forever.

Marvel’s Doctor Strange reportedly has its eye on Mikkelsen for a mystery role in the film. According to Variety, he’s in early talks to play a villain and, though no offer has been made just yet, one is expected shortly.

With a cast comprising of Benedict Cumberbatch as Dr Stephen Strange, Tilda Swinton as the Ancient One and now Mikkelsen, it looks like the film is going for a chiselled cheekbone feel. Also confirmed to be joining the trio is Academy Award-winning actor Chiwetel Ejiofor as Baron Mordo.

We are totally down for this casting. With only one episode of Hannibal left, we’ll take all the Mads news we can get.

Doctor Strange is in UK cinemas from 28 October 2016. Get all the latest superhero movie news with every issue of SciFiNow.
