Not content with being Marvel’s thunder god, Thor star Chris Hemsworth is reported to be the first choice for Iron Man 3 director Shane Black’s Doc Savage movie, based on the the 1930s pulp adventurer.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Black met up with Hemsworth recently to discuss the role, which is being considered a priority for Sony Pictures.

Doc Savage, aka the Man of Bronze, is a near-genius scientist/explorer, master of martial arts with a photographic memory and near-superhuman physical strength. Clad in a torn khaki shirt, he became the hero of radio serials, prose, magazines and 1975’s Doc Savage: The Man Of Bronze movie from Logan’s Run director Michael Anderson.

He’s basically Hemsworth’s Thor meets Batman meets Indiana Jones.
