Daisy Ridley and JJ Abrams to reteam for fantasy thriller Kolma

A fantasy thriller is on the way from JJ Abrams and Daisy Ridley

Star Wars: The Force Awakens‘ breakout star Daisy Ridley and director JJ Abrams are looking to reteam very soon, but for something not Star Wars-y at all. According to TheWrap, the pair are planning on getting together for new fantasy thriller Kolma for Paramount. And that’s not even the best part: Diary Of A Teenage Girl filmmaker Marielle Heller is also currently in negotiations to direct the project. Ahhhhhh!

Kolma is based on Keren Margalit’s 2003 Isreali film All I’ve Got, and is focuses on “a young couple who get in a car accident that leaves the man dead. Decades later, the old woman must choose whether to reunite with her long-lost love in the afterlife or return to the fateful day her life changed forever.”

The most recent draft of Kolma‘s script was written by Megan Holley (Sunshine Cleaning), after previous drafts from Rolin Jones, Karen Moncrieff and Sarah Polley. Abrams, Ram Bergman, Sherryl Clark and David Lonner are producing.
