Common signs up for Terminator Salvation

McG’s latest acquisition for his fourth instalment in the Terminator franchise, Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins, is Common, who has signed on to play the role of a young soldier in the resistance and a close confidant of John Connor.

The rapper turned actor, who was last seen in Ridley Scott’s American Gangster and who co-stars in the forthcoming Wanted, will join the ranks alongside Christian Bale and Australian actor Sam Worthington in the hotly anticipated sequel which is pencilled in for a Summer 2009 release.
