Captain America Civil War: Winter Soldier star returns

Find out who’s returning to the already massive cast of Captain America Civil War

Emily VanCamp will represe her role as Agent 13 in Captain America: Civil War

Following up the news that Martin Freeman would be appearing in Captain America: Civil War, yet another name has been added to the already huge cast for Marvel’s second movie post-Avengers: Age Of Ultron. Admittedly, this particular snippet isn’t exactly a surprise considering that she was in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, but it could mean something nonetheless.

Emily VanCamp, who appeared as Agent 13 (while posing as Steve Rogers’ neighbour Kate), will be reprising her role, according to Deadline. In the comics her real name is Sharon Carter (Cap’s old flame Peggy’s niece) – and although this is never mentioned at any point in The Winter Soldier, in light of Cap’s flashback scenes in Age Of Ultron, we suspect her lineage could be brought up, providing him with another link to her past.

She joins an already packed cast that includes the returning likes of Chris Evans (Captain America), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Anthony Mackie (Falcon), Sebastian Stan (Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier) and Frank Grillo (Brock Rumlow), along with MCU veterans Robert Downey Jr (Tony Stark), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye) and Elizabeth Olsen (Wanda Maximoff), as well as all-new additions Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther), Daniel Bruhl (Baron Zemo) and Martin Freeman in an as-yet unspecified role.

Captain America: Civil War will be released in cinemas in the UK on 29 April 2016. For more on the biggest superhero movie news, pick up the latest issue of SciFiNow.
