The first trailer for Travis Zariwny’s remake of Eli Roth’s Cabin Fever has arrived, and it certainly looks a lot like Cabin Fever.
The remake, which is produced by Roth, is supposed to be a straight horror take on Roth’s original, but although it certainly had a few chuckles, the original wasn’t exactly a horror comedy. Giuseppe Andrews’ Deputy Winston is now being played by Louise Linton, but apart from that it looks very familiar. Who knows, maybe the plot synopsis isn’t lying to us.
“This story is familiar: fresh out of college, a group of five friends retreat to a remote cabin in the woods for one last week of partying- only to become snacks for a gruesome, flesh-eating virus. What’s surprising are the ingenious new deaths, which offer a fresh spin on a horror-comedy milestone.”
