Comments on: Buffy cast rounds on proposed remake

The original Buffy story is still ongoing albiet in comic book form. I would love to see the comic book episodes turned into movies with the original cast and writer. I would also love to see a movie that continues where the last comic book episode left off.

But a rewritten story with new characters and actors? No. The history of Buffy’s high school days is set in my mind. It’s a free country but a remake is not where I will be spending my money.

Buffy finished off properly and so another film would have to have all or some of the regular cast members and Joss at the helm (or at least have him work on the script). Maybe it would work with other actors but there are so many fans out there (including me) who don’t want to see their beloved franchise tarnished. If they do make it let’s hope they do the series justice.
