Speaking at a recent Captain America: The Winter Soldier press conference picked up by Geek Tyrant, Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige revealed that the House of Ideas are still very much throwing around ideas for a solo movie for Scarlet Johansson’s Black Widow, but we might not see it until after Avengers: Age Of Ultron.

“I think it could be great,” says Feige.

“We’ve got various outlines and ideas of where to take that. As Scarlett’s already said, there’s a big element that explores her back story in an upcoming Marvel feature.

“So the question really is, ‘When do we want to take her out of the ensemble to go and do her own thing?’ As you saw in [Captain America: The Winter Soldier], as you’ll see in Avengers: Age Of Ultron, she’s really the key to so much of the broader world.”

Captain America: The Winter Soldier is due in cinemas 4 April 2014.
