Black Mirror Season 3 adds Jurassic World star

Charlie Brooker’s nightmarish anthology series casts yet another big name

With Mackenzie Davis and Gugu Mbatha-Raw having been confirmed for Charlie Brooker’s returning Black Mirror in recent weeks, it’s been reassuring to see that its new home on Netflix has allowed it to maintain its high quality of cast members. Indeed, the most recent announcement will see this trend continue, with Bryce Dallas Howard and Alice Eve being confirmed for one episode.

But that’s not all. In addition to the hiring of the Jurassic World and Men In Black 3 stars, Joe Wright (Atonement, HannaPan) will direct the same episode. There’s no word on exactly what the episode will involve yet, but considering Wright’s previous films, we can expect an appropriate mishmash of tones.

Wright’s episode is one of 12 that will form the new series. So far, the only other director confirmed is Kill Your Friends‘ Owen Harris, whose episode will feature Davis and Mbatha-Raw. Considering previous instalments in the series have involved actors of the calibre of Hayley Atwell, Jon Hamm, Domhnall Gleeson and Lindsay Duncan, we look forward to seeing who else will be brought on board.

Black Mirror Season 3 will air on Netflix later in the year. For more news about the biggest TV shows, pick up the latest issue of SciFiNow.
