Bioshock director found?

Universal Pictures is in talks with Juan Carlos Fresnadillo to helm BioShock, according to Variety. This move comes after rumblings that the project was in trouble, but with the 28 Days Later helmer now thought to be adapting the videogame property, it seems that the project is moving forward.

This development also sees Gore Verbinski taking a back seat as producer on this film, and the property will be released through his Blink Wink production company. Prior to this Verbinski was attached to direct but had to pull out due to scheduling conflicts, amid other numerous wrangles.

At this time Universal has set no date for filming on BioShock.
