While a new standalone Batman movie was conspicuous for its absence from the rumoured slate of DC Comics movies, Latino-Review are reporting that a new film will come in 2019.
Although Ben Affleck has signed on for multiple movies as the Dark Knight, his only confirmed appearances are Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice and the Justice League movie.
The rumoured solo film, which may be titled simply The Batman, will go into production 2017 or 2018 for a 2019 release.
The site goes on to speculate that Affleck may direct, which would be fantastic news in light of Argo, Gone Baby Gone and The Town, but don’t get too carried away – Latino-Review don’t exactly have the best track record, and even they are referring to it as a rumour, so all due discretion is advised.
