Bates Motel renewed for Seasons 4 and 5

Norma and Norman Bates return for two more seasons of Bates Motel

After the thrilling Season 3 finale, Bates Motel has been given the green light for not only Season 4 but also Season 5. That means we have a total of 20 new episodes filled with murder, motels and incestuous antics ahead of us to look forward to. Hallelujah!

Nothing has been confirmed regarding an end date for the series just yet, but renewing two seasons at once could mean that the Bates Motel team are already working towards a final resolution (or as final as you can get with a prequel).

A&E & Lifetime EVP and GM Rob Sharenow said: “The vision of our incredible creative team has exposed the steady breakdown of the relationship between Norman and Norma Bates.

“We are thrilled to bring fans two more seasons to witness the next stages of Norman’s transformation into the most notorious psychopath in cinematic history.”

Bates Motel stars Freddie Highmore as a teenaged Psycho antagonist Norman Bates and Vera Farmiga as his mother Norma.

Bates Motel returns to A&E and the Universal Channel next year for Season 4. You can pre-order Bates Motel Season 3 for £14.25 from Amazon.co.uk. Get all the latest horror news with every issue of SciFiNow.
