Speaking to USA Today, Avengers: Age Of Ultron director and Marvel Phase 2 mastermind Joss Whedon revealed that Don Cheadle’s Rhodey will have “a part to film in the next Avengers movie.”

“Probably Captain America, he’d love winding Tony up,” laughs Cheadle. “He’d tell him [Cap] to take the piss out of Tony all the time, like, ‘Talk about his height!’”
Another question is, with star Robert Downey Jr signed on for more Avengers movies, but not more Iron Man films – is Cheadle being groomed for the lead role in Iron Man 4?
It’s certainly about time someone other than a white male held the reins in a big budget superhero movie…
