According to Deadline, Marvel’s first choice for the role of the impetuous, super-speedster Quicksilver in Joss Whedon’s Avengers Assemble sequel is Kick-Ass 2 star Aaron Taylor-Johnson.
The site reports that Taylor-Johnson’s scheduling issues may nix the plan, and negotiations are ongoing.
Interestingly, American Horror Story‘s Evan Peters, cast by Bryan Singer as Quicksilver in X-Men: Days Of Future Past, starred alongside Taylor-Johnson in the first Kick-Ass.
